Marblehead Research Resources

VITAL RECORDS :

At this time, there is no free online transcription of Marblehead's Vital Records to 1849. Several web sites are currently hard at work at publishing the Massachusetts Vital Records online - including the Essex County USGenWeb Page.

Vital Records may be obtained from several sources. You can contact the Marblehead Town Clerk's office to obtain copies of birth, marriage and death certificates of residents of Marblehead. This link will bring you to the current Marblehead Town web page, which is currently under construction. Here you can email the town clerk, or you can call them at 781-631-0528 for more information about obtaining these records.

ONLINE MAPS :

Located on the USIGS web site, there are several old Marblehead maps, including plot identification by surnames. The actual links to the site are complicated at this time, so I will be adding the corrected links to the page as time permits. The pictures are large and take a while to open. You will be taken off site of this web page to view them. You must use your back button to return to my menu of links.
